I hate the new blogger update. I have to admit. That is keeping me away. Stupid blogger for changing. Changes are not always good. When it makes things hard to find and get to where you want to be, that is not a good thing. Hear that powers that be???? Ya, I am saying it - you currently suck.
But on to bigger and better things!
WW update - there hasnt been any change in 8 weeks :(
Trainer update - I am still working with her 1x a week. Wish I had more in the budget to do more. When I win the lottery it will be daily lol
Meal update - I am still cooking my meals on Sunday for the week. I am trying to find more veggie dishes to incorp into my meals. You know, more interesting than salad salad salad.
Running update - I got new shoes a couple of weeks ago. They are like little pillows of air compared to my old ones. lol I also splurged and bought socks. Well they recommended them. I will see what I can find at walmart or somewhere else....$15 for one pair is redunkulous!
I told my trainer a few weeks ago that I wanted to make a goal to be able to run a full lap of the track on 6th Ave without stopping by the end of July. DID IT TODAY! I am so happy! So proud of myself! I was fist pumping in victory my last few steps of that lap! Then I had to walk a few to recouperate lol I did run a bit more after that 100m here and there but wasnt able to do another full one. Now, to be able to do that again...
Summer vacation update - well Disney in December is down the tubes, so instead, I am using my vacation fund toward an August trip to - drumroll please - Montana! Laura and I are going on a ghost town trip for 15, 16, 17th and then meeting Wendy, her friend and my mom in Great Falls for shopping! I am excited to get away. I so need it. I am also planning on day trips around here with my sister and the Littles - Calgary to Heritage Park, the Zoo, the Science Center, Calaway Park...out to the Pass for ice cream in Bellvue...out to the Fort in Fort McLeod to see the mini Musical Ride...and a few others if I can. I have a ton of vacation days to use up, so I will take a day here and there.
June 8-10, Laura came down for a photo safari. We headed out early Saturday morning to the Crowsnest Pass and spent 5.5 hours taking photos. We started at Lundbreck Falls, then off to Lietch Colleries, Frank Slide and then to Coleman to check out their deserted downtown along their Heritage Route. We stopped in Blairemore and found an old mine ruin north of town off a gravel road. We spent about about an hour and a half just in there along! We drove the old Frank road along the river on our way back and into Bellvue for ice cream (we were told it is not to miss!) and then home.
Here are a few pics from that trip...
