My weekend

Oh man what a great weekend!

What did I do? Not much! LOL

I slept in on Saturday and then I cleaned up my house. I went to the scrapbook store in the afternoon to pick up some paper for a layout I was working on. Then I went to my friend Kari's around 6pm.

We scrapbooked until about 230am. It was such a productive night! I completed 2 two page layouts, a CJ entry and a card! Whew! I was there until about 430am....but the last few hours were spent holding Cooper and trying to get him to sleep. The poor little guy was so upset. Mommy had pizza for supper and he didn't like that at all! His poor tummy. We tried gripe water around 230am again and it seemed to help a bit. I just held him for 2 hours and rubbed his back. Whenever I stopped he would wake up, but he was ok while I was rubbing his back. I am like the baby whisperer lol

I had to head home at 430am though. I was so tired!

This morning I slept in until 1130am or so. I don't usually do that on a Sunday when I work the next day but I had to after getting home and to bed around 530am! I am getting too old to stay up that late lol

My friend Dawn came by and we tried on the dress for alterations. Then we went for our walk around Henderson for an hour.

I got home and then Kari and I headed out to Medicine Hat to pick up Bryce. What a hilarious trip! I don't think I have laughed that much in a long, long time! Thanks Kari! I needed that little get away!

Got back home around 8pm, called mom to let her know all was well and now I am updating you my fans (hehe) and heading to bed! I am wiped!!!!

ahhhh School is almost back in...

I am so excited....And I don't even have kids! haha

I cant even imagine how excited the parents are! I work in a mall. It has been crazy with screaming, laughing, screeching teens for the past 2 months! I can not wait until they are back in school so that the mall can go back to normal - until Christmas holidays!

I don't know about you, but when I was younger I was never out shopping or spending time at the mall. We were out playing ball, at the park, riding bikes, walking around, hanging out with friends, but never at the mall. Today's society kills me.

My TV/DVD is all hooked up to the antenna in my room. I have 3.5 channels. I don't think I will be hooking it up to the cable. I just don't want a cord all the way around my room since the hook up is across from where the TV is. I think I will just keep my 3.5 channels and leave the cable downstairs. I am going to hook my VCR up to it though so that I can watch movies while I scrapbook.

Speaking of scrapbooking. I had an area in the living room that I was using for scrapbooking while I watched movies. I cleared it all up last night after work. Took the stuff off the desk, out of the drawers, off the end tables, from the chair....You get the idea. Guess how many laundry baskets I used to get everything up to my room. 5 - yes you read that right FIVE baskets! Plus I had bags of stuff that I brought down from upstairs and never used. Who knew it accumulated like that! Oh goodness. I probably have enough for another garage sale! lol

Work is getting a bit busier, so that is nice. Makes the days go by much faster!

OMGosh! My friend Jenna (click on her at the left for her blog) is starting up her own photography business! Her stuff ROCKS! I love looking at her photos that she has taken on her scrapbook pages. I cant wait to see her portraits of kids and weddings and everything! You have to check out her stuff. AMAZING! I have already booked her for my wedding. No ands if or buts. Now to find the husband! LOLOL Everything is set ;)

Oh I have to tell you guys -- I am so 8!!! There is this chick in our complex who doesn't know how to park. I swear she got her license from a box of cracker jacks. Anyway I digress. I have an assigned spot in the back, but there are 2 close by the door that I will park in when I am making a quick stop at home and heading back out. She is always parked there. Usually badly. Well yesterday it rained cats and dogs and there was a HUGE puddle in this spot. I got home after work and quickly parked there thinking that I would be heading right out again. That didn't happen. I came back into the kitchen and looked outside to see her car beside mine (finally parked properly - you would think she would take the hint eh?).....But you know that means that she had to step into the puddle to get out of her car? I am still laughing! Yes, I realize this makes me a bad person. Yes, I realize this makes me very little. Yes, I realize I am acting like I am 8 years old. Oh but it was funny and it totally made my day!

I have a roommate!

He moved in tonight after work.

So far so good. Not sure how much he will be around - he is a teacher. Grade 7. What a brave soul! We just returned from getting a few groceries for him. He is from Montreal and is really nice. He has a girlfriend but she is over in South Africa. They met in London last year while he was over there teaching.

I am so happy that the bills are going to be split again! LOL That will certainly help out I hope.

The owner came to the office today. We had a meeting with the radio people we are doing a group with in January. They came for lunch. Nice. We so cheaped out! A tray of sandwiches, some nachos, a quesadilla (sp?) and some mini danishes. Nice. We were supposed to go out to Earls but he called on Friday I guess and changed his mind.

It is Whoop Up days here. Know what that means? We get to wear JEANS all week! I am so excited! Nice and casual hehe

That is all. Nothing exciting going on here. Off to watch Canadian Idol and Big Brother. Yup, the excitement in my life is something to be envied!

Road trip, garage sale and some extra spending money!

What a weekend!

I left on Thursday afternoon for Swift Current. Had a good drive down, not a lot of traffic. Gotta love that since about 1.5 hours is single highway. It never fails though that there isn't a person on the road until I get behind a slow driving vehicle and then there is a ton of oncoming traffic too! LOL Oh well made it home safe and sound.

On the way I stopped in Taber to see my friend Ronni. It was so funny. I had a book that she wanted. Designing with Notions. I was going to RAK it to her and avoided every question she asked about price. She caught me on the phone though and asked me about the price and I told her nothing it was a RAK. Well she wouldn't have that. When I showed up at the store, she had a bag of goodies for me. Rubons, Fasenator staples, a page topper, some fuzzy fruit stickers and some gold stars. As a joke she threw in the last few items.....But I will get her LOL. I already have a card in mind and some extras for her circle journal I just finished!

Friday we did some running around, set up for the sale on Saturday and made up posters with huge writing on them to place around town. We decided to set up everything on Friday night and cover it with tarps and stuff to keep the dew off it. We were up until 2am doing this. Got to bed around 3am and back up at 6am to finish setting up! ACK! I don't do well without sleep! LOL

Saturday morning dawned bright and early. Had a good day though. I made $206 at the sale. I can tell you that some chick got an amazing deal on scrapbook stuff!!!! I had everything priced and it was probably worth about $300 easily if not $400 with my sale prices and she got it for $80. I bartered a bit with her but it wasn't really worth my time to barter. I hate bartering (no, I don't do well in Mexico!!!). Oh well the way I am looking at it right now is that I didn't have to drag it back home after the sale! Had I not made that deal, she may not have boughten it and then it would have sat there for the entire day.

I made enough money to pay for my next Bloomin Inn weekend though and that is all that matters! I don't have to worry about finding the cash for that weekend now. I can start saving for January's trip! hehe

I came back yesterday. What a trip! There was a ton of traffic and I was trying to take pictures through my bug splattered front window! This goes with the Road Trip page topper Ronni gave me. I though that since I had to do up a page with it, I would make it a good one! LOL Some of the pictures didn't work out that well due to the bright light from the sun through the window but a lot of them did! hehe Hope she likes it!

I am at work alone today. One of the girls is off cuz she worked on Saturday and my manager took an extra day in BC and is flying home today. I wonder if I can do that when I am looking for a flight to Saskatoon on Sept 23 to help my sister move into her new house? Hmmmmm fair is fair right???

I think that is about all. I apologize for not having anything more exciting to tell you. Maybe tomorrow! I am hoping I have a new roommate to tell you about! He is coming by at 6pm tonight to look at the place. Keep your fingers crossed! I need a roomie!!!

Free Advise Rant

Yup it is a downfall of any job. Anyone with any knowledge of anything is at risk. Friends, family, co-workers and strangers are always asking something or another. No one wants to pay for the service or knowledge, but why not? Maybe they think you should do them a favour.

We all do it. Admit it! I do to. My sister is working at a lighting store currently. I was asking her the other day about bulbs for my light. The difference between those new natural day light bulbs and regular ones. My mom is a teacher, I have a friend who was having some problems with her daughters teacher so i asked my mom for some advise of things they could do at home with her to help her studies. My dad is a retired RCMP - I used to ask him about work all the time! My brother does drywall on the side...you know if I ever had to finish something I would ask him for a favour to save some money!!!

I am a travel consultant. Everyone asks me for prices - like I know them from my head. Everyone asks me about deals. Everyone asks me about my opinions on hotels, destinations, the price they already paid (I mean really, WTF is up with that?). But the thing that pisses me off the most that I must rant about are the people (the "friends" and family) that ask me about somewhere, get me to price it out and then never really planned on booking it here anyway.

Now......dont get me wrong. I am in the service industry and that is part of my job. And I know that I will do a lot of work and people with price it out and go elsewhere due to one factor or another. This is reality with my job. BUT it is the people who get me to price things out for days on end and come up with different ideas each day and never book with me anyway that really get me going. These so called friends that think they can just use me and my time to get all their info free because they dont want to spend the time researching or they thing I am their own personal wealth of experience and knowledge.

I have an aunt who used to constantly call me to get rates for flights. Then I wouldnt hear from her again but I would learn that she went and booked elsewhere.

I have a cousin who would get me to price and price and price but never go anywhere.

Even my dad calls me up to ask questions for his friends, get prices and info but they never book with me. Why? Because they are in small town Saskatchewan and they book there.

But the real kicker are the people who come into the office with a 2 inch high stack of printouts from the internet. No we (and when I say we I mean I) do not match internet pricing. Simple as that. I dont have to waste my time. But these people want the info on the resorts that they have chosen because booking online doesnt give it to them. Huh....really? Well maybe you should pay me to book and get the info and personal experience!

Today was a great day!

Shaw called at 740am to tell me that they were on their way and would be here in about 30 minutes. Dang! Those last few minutes before the alarm rings (set for 8am) are always the BEST and he ruined them for me.....BUT it was worth it! I have cable - for at least a month! LOL Now some have been asking me how I got this deal. Let me tell ya!

How I got free cable. They called and offered it to me! LOL I have Shaw internet and they called last week to offer me free installation and 1 month free, then 70% off for the next 6 months. I can cancel it at anytime. I made sure of that! So if I want the full package of 3 tiers after, it will be $19.95 per month. It is a promotion that they offered for people with the internet without cable. New cable people.....They want to suck me in so I will stay. Let me just say I have 80 channels and have watched TLC and HGTV all day long! LOL

I also ventured out to Superstore for some groceries. OMGosh! It is huge. Right now it is the largest in Canada but really who cares? I don't really like the set up of the areas, but who am i? LOL See, most Superstores are the same layout. You can go into one in Calgary or Regina or Toronto and know where everything is bc of the layout. Not here. BUT I did get some great deals of fruit and veggies! I feel so healthy!

Then I went to pick up the dresses for the wedding. I have to take one of them back to Swift Current this weekend and drop it off. What am I doing with Crystals *spit*? Left it there. Apparently she is coming out to try it on and I could really care less. Don't give a rats ass!

They will be there for sure! LMK what you think! I am a comment ho :) hehe Oh and I posted my Christmas Card that I finished up a few weeks ago too.

Oh and that guy that was supposed to stop by today to look at the room didn't. Go figure BUT I didn't have another gal stop by. She just got the phone call from the college for her program, and so now they are trying to find a place for her. They are going to let me know. She is really nice. Keep your fingers crossed!

At 5pm my friend came by and we went for a walk. That is 3 this week (incase you are counting Jenna! hehe). Hopefully it will work so that we can continue the 3 a week instead of 2.

OH! I only have to work TWO days this week! ***WOOT!!!!!*** I am so excited!!!!! Can you tell! I really need to start looking for something else. Shhhhhh don't tell anyone.

So what did you do today?

My answer is pretty close to nothing!

Do I feel guilty about that? Nope! LOL Really I don't. I love living alone! I can do what I want when I want. I don't have to answer to anyone but me.

I had to work yesterday until 530pm, and then I headed over to Kari's place before Scrappin 12. Played with Jaycee for a bit. She ran to me, I picked her up and we twirled. I got dizzy lol. I put her down. She was dizzy. She fell. She cried. She came back for more. Jaycee is so dang cute! I swear I just want to steal her away (until she needs a diaper change haha). She came back to see me and was doing this Stevie Wonder sway thing and wanted to be lifted up again. Well I presume that she wanted to twirl some more. hehe I don't speak 1 year old, so I have to say assume! I hope that is what she wanted - she seemed to be having fun! That is what is important.

Anyway after that, we headed out to the LSS to scrapbook. Kari brought Coop with her. He slept for most of our date together. I finished up a CJ, designed another CJ layout - just have to add my journalling and did the make and take. I also planned out 4 layouts for Kari. hehe That is so much fun. I pick out paper and cardstock for her, advise to what is background and mats and then let her go! She loves the challenge! Well I assume she does, she lets me do this all the time! lol Oh and we planned and Kari got through a lot of the baby cards she wanted to make. They are so stinking cute and very simple. I love them! They turned out great! The last thing I got to do was borrow Kari's camera and take pictures of them. I played with the zoom and got some AMAZING photos. I hope I can get copies. Maybe she will let me post some :)

After getting home at midnight, I had 2 choices; 1) stay up and clean house then sleep in or 2) go to bed and get up early in the morning and clean house. Since I was kinda hooped up last night anyway, I cleaned. I also took pictures of the house for someone I have been chatting to about the room. I emailed those off before I went to bed.

This morning I was up at 11am and felt great! I so needed that sleep in. Great plan on cleaning last night! *woot* I watched BB6 that I taped last night and started to watch Coronation Street. I missed 4 epis last week and I was LOST! lol But I am all caught up now. Dawn came by at 1pm and we went for our walk around Henderson Lake. Then as we got home, one of the people coming by to look at the room were here. She is really nice and is going to let me know. She is also deaf. This would be interesting. I would totally want to learn sign language!

I have cooked up some chicken breast and pork for the week. I am going to go to Super Store tomorrow sometime. They just opened on Thursday. I am so excited to have them here!!! They rock! I cant wait to get some fruit there and I want to pick up some salad stuff that I can cut up and have ready. That way I can just put some chicken on it and go. Instant supper. Oh how I hate making supper after a long day at work! I am hoping this will help.

Tonight I am going to work on cards and finish up the CJ entry I started last night. That is about all! Oh the excitement in my life is something to be envied! hehe

Well gosh darn it, I had better update you!

Sorry it has been a few days.

The house is crazy with packing up and pricing stuff for mom and dads garage sale next weekend (20th). This is the 1st time I will have "my" stuff in it, and if I want to see money from it I have to price it all. ugh. See, if I left my stuff to mom and dad to price, it would be 10 cents and under. Well NO! I have tons of Hero Art stamps that I have hardly used that I want to sell. I bought them for $10 each. Now I know that I wont get full price for them, but I have the garage sale market figured out - figure out how much you want, double the price and then take offers that day! haha So I have marked everything that way. There are a few exceptions. I have a sticker binder FULL of stickers. I have a FIRM price on that bad boy as I am selling it with all the stickers and stuff. I also have a FULL box of 8.5x11 paper and cardstock that is older colours and stuff. I am FIRM on that as well. Hey they are getting about $200 worth of paper for $25! Please, that is a STEAL!

How much do you think a Dr Scholls Foot Bath massage thingy (yes, I am sure that is the technical name of it <- that is courtesy of Sue from scraptivity! she rocks) should go for? It is new, never used. Hmmmmm I wonder how much they are new? lol

I get to go scrapbooking tonight. We have our Scrappers 12 club tonight. We it really isn't 12 anymore. Last month there was a huge blowout as one of the girls spearheaded a quit not campaign. What a bitch. She pissed me off so badly. See when we all started in January, she was working at the LSS. She was the one who said that we had to commit for 12 months. She was the one who said if we cant that we should let them know, step out and get someone else who could in there. So comes July and 6 gals step down thinking that they could since they had put in 6 months already. Fine, whatever, but why do this in JULY when we then lose a month???? Why not give us notice in JUNE after the 6 months instead of in the 7th month? Geesh. I was mad. I called them on it and their so called "commitment". Then they had the balls to say "well maybe in January we will come back, but it is really bad timing right now." Screw you guys! If you cant commit this year, what makes you think you can next year??? I don't want you around me anymore. Go!

Wow bitter Mel? LOL Yup I am. But we have a wonderful 6 ladies left and I cant wait to get together with them once a month and enjoy their creativity and experience their expertise.

Kari is bringing Cooper tonight. I am so excited. I already gave her a PSA (Public Service Announcement) that I will wake him up to play with me! LOL Ok I am just joking on that, but only kind of! hehe We are going to work on her baby thank you cards or announcements. No I think it is thank you cards. We are going to adapt one of the invite samples I made my friend Cand. Instead of love, we are going to stamp Thank you, use baby blue paper and cardstock and viola! Done.

Tomorrow is my one day to sleep in. I don't get the chance to though. Well maybe I can. See I have some people coming by to look at the room in the afternoon. I have to clean. Since I have spent most of my last couple of weeks at the hospital with Kari, working on CJs and packing stuff for the garage sale I have neglected the cleaning. Oops my bad! So either I do it tonight after midnight when I get home, or tomorrow morning before I go for my walk with Dawn. If I stay up late tonight and finish it all, I can sleep in tomorrow. If I go to bed when I get home, I have to get up tomorrow and no sleeping in. Oh the decisions in my life!

Monday I am getting CABLE! I am so excited! The cable company called me last week to offer free installation and one month free. I was all over that like a fat kid on smarties! FREE is my favourite word (along with cheap and easy! LOL But that is another Blog entry one day maybe!). They then offered me the package for 70% off after the free month, and I can cancel at any time for any reason no penalty. So I might after the free month. I might not. The package with 70% off is only $20 a month. Hmmmm TCL for 6 months? I might. It all depends if I get a roommate in the next little while or not.

So my sister called me the other night. They bought a house! How exciting is that? She is married, has a dog and a house (and is only 28 yrs old). Yup, she fits into societies bubble of what people should be. LOL They bought a new house. No one has lived in it. It has 3 rooms and an undeveloped basement. They can do whatever they want down there. Oh and it is unlandscaped, so they have to figure out what to do with Fernie when they let him out. There isn't any grass or fence or anything. They get possession on Sept 1 (almost on their 1st anniversary - on the 4th). They were going to landscape it before they moved in, but since they are in a new development they were told to wait a year so the ground could settle. That would totally suck if they put up a fence and then it all went wonky on them!

I was so mad at work yesterday. It was so so so so slow. Like not even a phone call slow. My manager says I am going to pop out for a few minutes to look at something. Fine that is ok. Over an HOUR later she strolls back in. WTF? So I get over that cuz it happens a lot. Then at 430pm she asks if I am ok if she goes home early. I am like NO. Sorry you went shopping this afternoon, if anyone should go home early it should be ME. Then she pulls the I have a few hours owning to me and you can go home early next week. I was like NO. Sorry shouldn't have gone shopping then eh? So she was kinda pissy with me for the last hour and we did close up 10 min early (shhhhh don't tell anyone! LOL) but really. I guess she is the manager and can do whatever she wants, but offer me some time out of the office. KWIM?

OH it is a happy day! Today is PAYDAY! I *heart* payday. It is the two times a month that I actually look like I have a couple of dollars in my account LOL. Yup I have come to the decision that screw looks and love, I am going for the money!

Ok that is my week so far. Not that exciting is it? See why it took me a couple of days to update you!

• I am going to keep this quote near my scrapbook area. When I do meet Mr. Right I will be doing a page with this quote :) My friend rented it and we watched it on Sunday afternoon. She left it here so I could watch it over and over (cuz I am a geek and that is what I do while scrapbooking lol). I have to return it tomorrow, but I might run out tonight and do that. I need milk and fruit anyway and the Blockbuster is right there.

• I so do not not not want to go back to work tomorrow. This is so bad. I keep telling myself it isnt forever but it sure as heck feels like it. They called again this afternoon. They asked what credit card to use for my corporate client.....I dont know which one did they give you. Sorry, but would you not think to call them back and ask? How do I know from here??? Geesh. I am getting so fed up with them. It is like they dont think of stuff before they call.

• I finished up one CJ today! I have to do up the tag yet but that wont take any time at all. I have one more to do. What did I do with the past week off? Obviously not the CJs lol I didnt do a lot. I vegged, relaxed, cleaned, visited with Kari and Cooper in the hospital, and stuff. I also finished my Christmas Cards. So I did do a lot, just not much off my list.

• I started gathering up the boxes of scrapbook stuff I am taking back to Swift Current fo mom and dad's garage sale on the 20th. If you want directions let me know! haha I have 3 boxes full and priced so far. I have about 2 more boxes worth of stuff sitting on my desk upstairs. I couldnt get to sleep right away last night so I thought I would do something productive, and went through my 2 iris carrs of stuff. I threw a lot out and sorted through the rest. I also have 4 bags now of clothes to sell. Good times.

• What am I hoping to get out of the garage sale? Enough money to buy some new clothes (since I am selling most of them haha). I also want to put some away in the CKU fund. I was hoping to get to one in 2006 but there arent any in Canada and it is too expensive to go to the ones in the US. ugh Maybe if I win the lottery. Heck if I won the lottery I would be taking a lot of people with me!!!

• Why in the heck is my clock time off by 1 hour and 10 minutes??? It messes me up and confuses me - it doesnt take much to confuse me haha I am going to have to find a way to change that. I finally figured out how to post pictures and change my links so they work. *woot* I am so excited!!!

• Why can people not park correctly? I mean how hard is it really? Did they get their license from a box of cracker jacks? There are 14 townhouses in this complex. There are 14 spots in the back for parking. They are numbered to co-ordinate with your house number. How hard it is to comprehend? There are people parking willy nilly everywhere, there are some that dont park straight, there are people who dont even live here that park back there in other peoples spots (oh that just gets my goat). I just want to go out and shake them all when they park. I shouldnt let it get to me - I mean my spot isnt taken (right now lol) but it does. I am going to work on that.

The Dress

I would like to thank my friend Jenna for taking the time out of her day on Friday to join me at the bridal shop to see the dress and to give me her unsugarcoated opinion! Here are a few pictures of the dress in question.

I am going to admit right now that it did not fit as bad as it did a few weeks ago. I could actually move in it a bit. Last time I tried it on I couldn't even move or breath. So that is a good sign.

I am also going to admit that I can live with the front of the dress. It isn't my favourite nor is it flattering on most people. We both agreed that there are way better options out there.

I am still hating the back. Who in their right mind puts lapels on the back of a dress? It is just ugh. I hate the back. Jenna doesn't like the back either. I am going to see if I can take those stinking lapels off somehow. They are ugly and make by back look way wider than it already is!

I do however love the colour. Keep in mind that these pictures are inside under fluorescent lights and don't do the colour justice.

Is this a bad sign?

Oh goodness. Is it a bad sign to be sad....very very sad to only have tomorrow off before I have to head back to work? Blahhhhhh! I am so not looking forward to going back. I cant believe how fast this week has gone! I cant believe it. I have one more day to relax and then back to the grind. I wonder what is sitting on my desk waiting for comments when I return? I wonder what is going to be brought back up when I get back.? I wonder why I am so anxious about going back? Geesh.

I wish I could just stay at home forever. Guess I had better either a) win the lottery b) marry rich and for money c) go on short term disability (stress related would work, right???)

I am such a geek!

I am so happy to say that at this time (227am, Aug 6, 2005) I am FINISHED making my 2005 Christmas Cards!

*woot* hehe

I just finished 30 Christmas Cards tonight! I am so excited to have them done. Now, keep in mind that I might just happen to see a great idea later on and try some more, but for now I have 30 of them and I am happy with them. They are bright, fun and cheerful. I used pink/red/green KI Memories paper, with ink and paint and the Making Memories green Merry Christmas label. Oh and we cant forget the staples, staples, staples! They are very easy and simple but I hope they will brighten everyone's day when they receive them in 4 months and 19 days! hehe

Went to try the dress on again today with Jenna. We have decided that the front isn't too bad - with the shawl I will be able to handle it for the service. It fit better today than it did a few weeks ago. We do not not not like the back. I am going to call Cand this weekend and let her know Jenna's thoughts. I *heart* her honest, unsugarcoated opinion about the whole thing. We took pictures so I can email them to Cand. I will try to upload them here too so you can have a good laugh.

After, I went to the hospital to see Kari and Coop. I have already shortened his name! hehe He just laid out on my chest and fell asleep. I have this innate ability to put babies to sleep. I think it is the body heat lol It has nothing to do with my boring personality hehe

I met my friend Luann for a movie tonight. We went to see The Perfect Man. I don't think that I have laughed so much at a movie in a long time!!!! It is definitely going to be a previously viewed purchase for my scrapbooking movie collection. I have tons of movies that I can watch over and over and over again that I have bought or received as gifts. I will plug in one of these movies for background noise while I scrapbook. I can recite the lines and often do subconsciously!! It is fun to scrapbook with me when a movie is on....ask Kari haha

Well I am off to bed now. Tomorrow is my last day to sleep in before my holidays are over. Where the heck did my week off go? If you stole the days, can you please return them to me? lol I have to get up early on Sunday for Church and my walk around Henderson Lake. On Monday I have to get up early so that I am not up all night before work on Tuesday. Good times. I am not taking my phone up to my room, I am not turning on my alarm at all - either radio or buzzer. I am going to open my window so that the cool (14C) weather trickles in and cools off my room.

We have a baby and other rambling thoughts

At 1205am this morning Cooper Lewis was born! 6lb 6oz and healthy.

Kari had to have an emergency C-section last night as he was breech. Both mom and baby are doing fine! I am off to the hospital this afternoon to visit with them. I will be taking my camera and am hoping that I will be able to figure out how to download the pictures to show! LOL

I am off for lunch today with Rhonda from www.scraptivity.com! I am so excited to meet her. She is amazingly talented and grew up around Lethebridge, but is currently out in Nova Scotia with her family. We are going to go to the LSS after for a bit of shopping too. This is going to be so much fun! I cant wait.

Tomorrow I am hoping to drag my friend Jenna to the bridal shop to show her the dress. I know she will tell it like it is. We are going to take the camera and take pictures to email to Cand. Maybe I will post a picture of that too.

Baby watch.....baby on the way!

Ok well daddy is home so I am not on duty anymore, but my friend Kari called around 830pm tonight to let me know she is on her way to the hospital!!! I am so excited to become an "aunt" again! Her labours have been very quick in the past once her water breaks. I told her to have Evan call me as soon as possible. I dont care what time!

Oh maybe I will be able to make it to the hospital tomorrow sometime! Oh babies....other people's babies! hehe

I am ready to give up

on the whole entire roommate thing! Grrrr

I have been emailing for the past few days with a lady from Calgary looking for a place for her daughter. No problem, I send her all the deets and they scheduled a time for tomorrow at 11am to check it out.

I have been busy tidying up the place and hoping, really hoping that this would work out and everything would be good. I am tired of trying to find someone decent. It is a big chance I am taking on finding a person to live here. Everything here is mine. I am offering a fully furnished house and room for them. That is a lot of pressure.

So tonight I signed into my email. Low and behold she wrote that they had found something else (without even being down here but whatever!). At least they let me know and didnt just not show up like the people last weekend (I had 2 appointments last weekend to see the place and neither showed up nor called to let me know they werent going to show up).

Crap. Now I have to keep looking. I mean I have had signs up and networking about it and everything since April when Tony told me that he was moving in September for sure, but ended up leaving in June for a job in Regina.

Dang it all anyway. So if anyone out there knows of someone who needs a decent place to stay let me know!!! Hook me up! lol

Baby Watch 2005

My watch continues until tomorrow, when Evan comes home. They should be back around 3pm. So far baby is holding out, and waiting until daddy gets back :)

Kari and I have had such a wonderful weekend hanging out though. Bryce and her have been going out to their friends trailer at the lake during the afternoons and then we have been hanging out in the evenings and scrapbooking!

On Saturday I had to work from 130-530pm, and then went over to scrapbook. We had pizza for supper, went for slurpees, watched movies and before we knew it, it was 4am!!!! I was so productive though! I finished a tag for a CJ and 5 two page layouts and finished my Vegas book (now just to get to the journalling hehe). I wanted to start 2 other CJs that I have on the go, but I dont have pictures for them. I really need my CD of backed up stuff from my friend! All of my files and pictures are on there that I need. ACK!

Sunday I slept in until 1240pm and then I went for a walk with a friend around Henderson Lake. Probably not the smartest idea to walk in the middle of the day and highest heat point lol but it is nice. I spent the afternoon doing laundry and stuff and then Kari wanted me to come back to scrapbook some more. Again it was 430am when I started packing up! *woot* I made a few cards, worked on another page, helped Kari with a few layout ideas. Too much fun.

No baby yet though. Don't worry - I will post pictures when it happens!

Thank you Kari for the invite over! You rock girl. I had such an awesome time with you and Bman hanging out and chatting!
