7 days....and only 3 days of work left

I am so excited. The countdown is in single digits now!

Only 7 days left until our Disney Cruise (and 6 until we fly to Orlando)! I am so excited!!!!! I cant wait to see the ship, take photos, try the food (hehe) and veg out for 10 days!!!

We have 4 cameras - 2 digitals (with extra memory cards and battery chargers), an underwater camera and a regular point and shoot camera. I think we are set!

I have the suitcase up in my room and my packing lists made (yes I said lists haha). I have laundry to do this weekend so that I have clean clothes to take. I have some last minute shopping to do too. Oh and books to return to the library and I hope the new Nora Roberts books are at Costco by the weekend so that I can buy them to read next week.

Mom, Dad and Tony are coming to visit this weekend. Tony has a friends wedding on Saturday and mom and dad are coming to hang out. I hope they bring Jay (Stinky the puppy)! LOL I work until 1230pm on Saturday and have a pedicure appointment at 2pm but we have Sunday and Monday to shop and stuff.

That is all from the cheap seats I think. Sorry I havent been updating too much lately, but not much has been going on except working and stuff.

I survived.

We met, we chatted, we talked it out, we told our sides of the story, we appologized, we hugged. We have moved on. I hope everything works out cuz I really like the office.

So, that is my update from the cheap seats. Just wanted y'all to know I made it through.

and I will be on my way to the sunny south! So excited!

We have our shore excursions booked:
St Thomas we are visiting Coral World Check it out. It looks awesome!
St Lucia we are doing and island tour with a drive in volcano and rum punch hehe
Antigua we are swimming with the stingrays
Barbados we are going to be underwater in a submarine ride.

Survived a "introduction" with our new manager today. I am kinda hurt and discouraged that our District manager and acting manager felt they had to have a chat with me to make sure everything was ok and to ask that I would act welcoming and cordial. So after she (new manager) left and he (DM) was about to leave, he stopped by my desk and thanked me for being cordial. I said "I am always cordial and professional and it hurts to know that you would think otherwise" What a jerk!

So I guess we have our chat tomorrow. Good times. I will update you then!

ARGH!

Ok so it has been a shitty week. A week from hell. It is only going to get worse. Trying to look on the bright side, but really........where the heck is it????

1. Stinky comes back today at 3pm. ugh. My mom is so disgusted with him and his cleanliness. He didnt wash his sheets before he left. He just folded them up and put them on the floor. My mom washed, bleached the sheets. She then put on a mattress cover and threw the clean sheets on the bed for him to make. I disinfected the bed the day after he left with Mr Clean and Lysol lol. He isnt very high in her books. Absolutely disgusted that he is a teacher.

2. We have a new manager at work. Take a guess as to who they hired. Yup, my old manager from Thomas Cook. WTH? After all the crap I had to deal with there and all the verbal abuse I went through with her emails, I am not going ot be able to do that again. I am so stressed right now. I am not sleeping well, I can not get it off my mind. Her 1st day is Sept 5 and I leave Sept 6 for my cruise so that is a good thing. She did mention to our manager right now that she wants and needs to talk to me before she starts. Well go for it. You have a hell of alot of appologies to make. It is going to be hard to respect her after everything.

Mom and Tony left on Saturday. We packed up the truck, he had a friend come over to help with the furniture and then he took us out for lunch. It was nice to have the house to myself that night and Sunday. It was really quiet lol I did some scrapbooking, watched movies and vegged.

On Friday night we took Mom to Sagoniese for Vietnamiese (sp?) food. It was so funny to watch her eat it for the 1st time. My family is a meat and potatoes kinda family. It is a good thing that I travel to get the taste of different cultures and food LOL

OMG I am so excited!

Yesterday I booked a 10 night Disney Cruise for myself and my friend Linda. We have been saving up and planning for an Alaska cruise for Sept, but with the ships 99% sold out, I have to sadly say that I doubt they will put out the $399 agent rate. So we had back up plans. Cuba, a caribbean cruise with NCL or Holland America.........whatever was cheap. Thursday afternoon I received an email from Disney for an agent rate on September 7 for $25/day! OMG Linda and I chatted, she got the ok from her DH and I booked! *woot* Now to find cheap air to Orlando lol

Yesterday was Coopers 1st birthday!!! Can you believe he is one already? I went over to Karis last night to scrapbook (and got home at 330am!) and we celebrated. She was kinda bummed out cuz Evan was supposed to take him to Calgary with him and the other kids to hang out with family while he was playing ball. I didnt know that and had a celebration plan - I bought a cake and some candles and a balloon for him. We put him in the chair and took before, during and after phtos. He was so funny and CUTE! I am off to Costco to print my photos right away but they are priceless! Oh that is the name of my layout! I will post some here once I get them on CD.

Well I am off..............busy day ahead. Just wanted to update on the view from the cheap seats!
